But there’s something to be said about items made less industrially, where more count-worthy thought is given, versus the stuff that rolls of assembly lines.
Obviously, many of us don’t have the time — or, be honest, skill or patience — to make something. So it’s quite convenient we have so many talented people in and around Tulsa who do.
We found several items from area stores made by local folks, items that you might want to add to your holiday shopping list.
They’re like butter
Tenisha Edwards’ son was born with natural eczema. She spent a lot of money on products that didn’t work and weren’t natural and so she made her own
Handcrafted, whipped body creams made with the finest butters, oils and fragrances. Her natural body creams include scents such as Pear Berry, Berry Smoothie, Black Raspberry Vanilla and Midnight Pomegranate ($12 each).
You can find Natural Workz at Chrysalis Boutique, 10032 S. Sheridan Road; and online, where Edwards is offering free holiday gift wrapping on each order, she said. For more, visit tulsaworld.com/naturalworkz.
NATURAL WORKZ { }

Natural Workz was created by mommie, Tenisha Edwards. After the birth of her son who had eczema, she searched high and low for a product that would help heal his skin. After spending tons of mone
y and without results, she decided to see what she could whip up on her own. That was just the beginning of Natural Workz – now it’s a fantastic body boutique that specializes in yummy scented, luxurious {and of course natural!} whipped body creams.
